Councillor of Environment inaugurates school's Environmental Conference John XXIII (07/06/2010)

José Gabriel Cano Montoro, accompanied by the center's director, Antonio Miñano Martinez, coordinator of activities, Juan José Martínez Soler, gave started this conference under the slogan "Save energy, Change Your Life" shows the commitment of the center respect the environment

Environment Councilman Abarán City Council, José Gabriel Cano Montoro, opened last Tuesday, June 1, third Environmental Conference Juan XXIII school under the slogan "Save energy, Change Your Life" tries to show the commitment center in caring for the natural environment.

During the presentation, Cano Montoro was accompanied by the center's director, Antonio Miñano Martinez, coordinator of the conference, Juan José Martínez Soler.

The head of the Environment in the City of Abarán transmitted to students the need for involvement of all in caring for our environment.

He also said young people should engage with the environment, since they are the future.

The councilman said "the merit of the center is the effort to carry out this exhibition whose work began in January, reflected now in a week of luxury with a full program of activities."

Cano Montoro also opened the exhibition "Power to the clear" where environmental volunteer group formed by students of 4, 5 and 6 Primary School, acted as a guide explaining in detail each part of the sample.

The exhibition consists of a set of posters and creations made by teachers and students in which they show different ways of obtaining energy, contributing to good use and exploitation.

These proposals are complemented by environmental pledge cards in which each student shows his commitment to the environment and the steps being taken to save energy.

The exhibition also has a series of games based on the use of various renewable energy as a generator that gets its power from wind power, solar watches of all kinds, a radio-powered car and a mini manual that works with a small solar battery.

Environmental Days Colegio Juan XXIII, which ended June 4, included other activities like a tour of the exhibition of school pupils, learning games with renewable energy, the screening of documentaries on sustainable energy, the visit to exhibition "The labyrinth of the green heart", sponsored by the Department of Environment, the visit to Torre Guil CEMAC and talk "Environmental problems associated with energy consumption. Use and potential of solar energy in Murcia, among other activities .
