The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways has awarded the contract for the installation of a new fall protection system on the road RM-513, for a total of 258,432 euros.
This road gives access from the highway Abarán A-30 (Cartagena-Albacete).

The works, which will begin in the coming weeks, include the placement of seven metal meshes, four to five meters high, and a network of steel cable to protect 200 square meters on the slope of the hillside adjacent to RM-513 regional road.

To determine the new system of protection, the Directorate General of Highways has been taken into account various factors such as the slope gradient and geometry, surface composition of the slope and the degree of fracturing in the outbreaks of detachment, with the objective to ensure maximum safety for drivers.
