The poet Antonio Soto Murcia offers a poetry recital at the Cultural Center (06/05/2009)

The Department of Women, along with the Institute for Women in the Region of Murcia and the General Directorate of Books, Archives and Libraries, launched a pilot program to facilitate access to reading and women's culture of the region through the creation of reading clubs.

The workshop, entitled Go Home, Framed in this program, developed in the Centro Cultural de Abarán since last November.

Reading these clubs meet once every fortnight to discuss the readings planned and discussed in an open gathering.

Books are provided by the organization.

As an activity under this program, the poet Antonio Soto Murcia offer a poetry reading the next day May 7 at 17:30 pm in the Cultural Center.

BIOGRAPHY OF ANTONIO SOTO

Antonio Soto Alcon (Librilla, Murcia, 1952).

Teachers studied and practices his profession as a teacher in a school in your area.

Poetry and painting are two inseparable components of his life.

He has participated in different groups, magazines, and in some anthologies, both story and poetry, and published his first book of poems, Lolitas, in 1999.

He has received the following awards:

3 rd Prize for Poetry "Miguel de Cervantes" Armilla (Granada) with 'In the islands of the Soul "(1998), Honorable Mention Award" International Antonio Machado "Collioure (France)" From My Window' (1999); X Prize International Poetry "Ciudad de las Palmas de Gran Canaria" with 'The Book of Mirrors' (2002), 2 nd Prize of Poetry "Denise Garcia, Universidad de Murcia" with "each morning overlooking an angel at my window' ( 2002); Prize "Antonio Machado" in the XXI edition, City of Seville, for his book 'also swans die in spring' (2003).
