Sociocultural invited by the 'Valle de Ricote', and in its collaboration agreement with FAES Foundation, will soon visit Abarán DeSantiago Abascal, president of Foundation for the Defense of the Spanish Nation.
On this occasion, this new activity will be a conference that in the absence of definitive confirmation was held at the Cervantes Theatre on Thursday 28 January at 20:00.
Conde Santiago Abascal
Born in Bilbao in 1976, comes from a family of Amurrio (Álava).
Santiago's political career began very young Count Abascal, being a member of the Popular Party since age 18.
In 1996 he joined the Provincial Committee of the PP in Álava and since 1999 is part of the provincial executive committee of the PP in Álava.
In November 2000 he was elected president of New Generations of Basque Popular Party, a post he held until 2005.
Since 2000 is also a member of the executive's Party in the Basque country and since 2005 he is secretary of education of PP in the Basque Country.
In 1999, just 23 years old, won his first public office, being elected Popular Party councilor in the municipality of Llodio (Alava), a position which was renewed on several occasions.
In 2006 he created the DENAES Foundation (Foundation for the Defense of the Spanish Nation), which currently chairs.
It is a foundation that aims to cultivation of patriotism and the affirmation of Spain as a nation, to promote cohesion in Spanish society, Spanish strengthen unity and strength of the Spanish State.
The language rights of Spanish speakers in the regions with their own language and defense of the presence of national symbols in all parts of the Spanish State are cited as goals of the foundation.
