New containers for clothing, footwear and toys (23/02/2010)

Abarán City Council, through the municipal cleaning company, announces that it has installed three new waste collection bins urban textiles (footwear, clothing and toys) in the districts San José Artesano, Hoya del Campo and Virgen del Oro Neighborhood .

In addition, three other containers placed in the town, in places accessible to and / or central or near schools.

With this initiative, the City adheres to the Abraham Project, a program of socio-professional integration of people excluded or at risk of exclusion that has become Urban Textile Waste Manager, aimed at collecting, sorting, storage and sale or recycling of used clothing.

This is a program developed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water for environmental protection, through which it manages to avoid the discharge of materials that can be reused, reducing the consumption of raw materials and contributing also to the social commitment.

Classification

In the center are classified Lorquí work items and then allocated to the Ward Shops or traces.

90% of the collection is sold to textile recyclers, who spent the African markets reusable and unusable for recycling processes.
