The closing of the Programme of Prevention and Promotion Unit Situations of Personal Autonomy included the staging of the radio magazine "The Voice of Experience", by the radio workshop students, and dance performance by the students of the workshop given by Silvio Wong

On Friday it closed the program Situations Prevention and Promotion Unit of personal autonomy, promoted by the Department of Social Welfare and Local Development Abarán City Council.

This program is dedicated to the elderly and has developed into the town and the three townships for the third consecutive year.

Through it carried out activities to support (at home or outside it) and recreation and leisure, within which are being taught workshops in various forms such as dance, memory, photography, radio and other performances.

During the closure of the program, which took place on Friday June 4 at Teatro Mendoza Guerrero, the workshop students staged radio program "The Voice of Experience", a pilot proposal where the elderly are the protagonists and which put into practice what they learned during this course.

For about 20 minutes, dared with a space where there were interviews, debates, cooking section "Learn how to cook" and interpretive readings, all supported with a set that recreated the Abarán Radio studio, with lighting and sound support.

The Social Welfare Department is considering the possibility that the program is delivered in the local radio next year, a challenge that has already taken its first steps.

Also, students of dance workshop led by Silvio Wong put the finishing touch with a performance to the rhythm of country music.

The closing ceremony was addressed by the council of Women, Family and Children, Isabel Ratchet, who thanked everyone for their participation in this program, highlighting the excellent work of technicians, social workers and occupational therapists.

They could also visit a photo exhibition on the activities along the way, as well as a craft booth set up in one of the workshops.
