The University of Murcia (UMU) collaborates in the 'Fair of Sciences and the Sea of Eagles 2019 (FECyMAR)' on 27 and 28 March.
Attendees, including more than 2,000 students who have confirmed their participation, will be able to experience the university's research first-hand.
In addition, the Unit of Scientific Culture (UCC) of the UMU will take its exhibition 'File Instagram: Disclosure beyond the postureo'.
At the stand of the Department of Aquatic Ecology and Hydrology you can observe insects and other invertebrates of saline waters.
The experts will illustrate, for example, the thermal tolerance of beetles in a context of climate change.
Likewise, the company Quilare Forensics, collaborator of the Forensic Service of the UMU, will expose as a true digital detective the forensic techniques that are used to recover data.
On the other hand, the exhibition 'File Instagram' of the UCC collects in a humorous way guidelines to bring knowledge to a young and heterogeneous audience.
In this way, it will present to the public how to take advantage of the characteristics and tools of this social network for scientific dissemination.
Science and the sea come together so that boys and girls can learn by having fun and awakening their vocation for science and technology by feeding their curiosity.
For this FECYMAR will have stands of educational centers where young people will explain their experiments.
Also they will participate with their experts companies, organisms and universities like the University of Murcia.
In the same way, students will be able to enjoy exhibitions, scientific workshops and activities on the beach.
This initiative is part of the guilas and CienciaTe City Council and is aimed at 4th, 5th and 6th grade students, ESO and bachelor.
Its numerous proposals will be developed between the auditorium, the esplanade, the sand and the sea from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
