He has chaired this morning the signing of the collaboration and coordination procedure for the protection of victims of gender violence of the Ministry of Interior that has been signed by the mayor of the town, Jesús Gómez Montiel, and the colonel of the 5th Civil Guard Zone , Jesús Arribas, at an event held at the Government Delegation.
The objective of the VIOGEN system is to bring together the public institutions competent in the field of gender violence, integrate case information, make risk prediction, monitor and protect victims and adopt preventive measures in the event of incidents or events that may put endangered the integrity of the victim.
"This act represents the evidence of a non-negotiable and continuous policy to combat sexist violence by the new Government of Spain, which will stimulate and strengthen those mechanisms that provide collaboration, coordination, agility, information and operability in the protection of victims" , Jiménez said after signing this protocol.
In this way, the Local Police of Abarán and the Civil Guard will share information and resources and establish basic criteria for collaboration and coordination that will optimize human and material resources to ensure effective compliance with judicial measures to protect victims of violence. of genre.
The Government Delegation continues to promote the incorporation of Local Police Corps to VIOGEN with the double objective of increasing the number of troops destined for the protection of victims and improving coordination between the Security Forces and Bodies.
Through this protocol, a network is created for the rapid, comprehensive and effective monitoring and protection of women and minors victims of gender-based violence in which different institutions competent in the safety of victims are integrated, facilitating the transmission of the necessary information for the monitoring of protection measures, the situation of the victims and the circumstances of the aggressor.
