The Community, through the ministries of Public Works and Planning and Social Policy, Women and Immigration, promotes the integration of persons with disabilities with the delivery of a new vehicle adapted to the Association of Physically Handicapped Abarán (ADFA ) in order to facilitate the mobility of its 227 members and meet their daily travel.
As indicated by the Director General for Transport and Ports, Carmen Sandoval, "from the regional government finances the acquisition of vehicles adapted for disabled persons to facilitate their full integration into society, allowing them to actively participate in courses, activities and workshops outside the headquarters of the Association or hiking with simplicity "
"The Ministry of Public Works and Planning offers assistance to these centers to provide a means of transport conditioned on the activities of its residents and users, through the line of grants to associations and nonprofit institutions of Region for the purchase of vehicles adapted for the private transport of persons with reduced mobility, "said the regional responsibility.
ADFA was founded in 1992 to defend the interests and the full integration of persons with disabilities living in Abarán.
Today is part of the Federation of Associations of People with Disabilities Murcia Physical and Organic (FAMDIF / COCEMFE).
"This grant, amounting to 27,357 euros, is part of the aid granted by the regional government for empowering the disabled. This new nine-seater van, ADFA will provide its members with the implementation of a greater variety of cultural and educational activities, "he said Carmen Sandoval.
