The Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Public Works and Planning and Social Policy, Women and Migration, promotes the integration of people with disabilities through the delivery of a new vehicle adapted to the Association of Physically Handicapped Abarán ( ADFA), in order to facilitate the mobility of its 227 members and meet their daily travel needs.
Abarán Mayor, Antonio Eugenio Gómez, this morning attended the official launch of this new vehicle, accompanied by Carmen Sandoval, Director General for Transport and Ports, Fernando Mateo, the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration Maria del Carmen Turner, Councillor for Social Welfare, Carmen Gil, President of FAMDIF / COCEMFE and Adrian Carrillo, president of ADFA.
According to the director general indication "from the regional government finances the acquisition of vehicles adapted for people with disabilities to facilitate their full integration into society, allowing them to actively participate in courses, activities and workshops outside the Association or hiking with greater simplicity. "

Abarán Mayor, Antonio Eugenio Gómez, congratulated the Association and acknowledged the excellent work of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning and Social Policy, Women and Migration.
The amount of the subsidy amounts to 27,357 euros and is part of the aid granted by the regional government to promote mobility and independence of people with disabilities.
ADFA was founded in 1992 to defend the interests and full integration of persons with disabilities living in the municipality of Abarán.
Today is part of the Federation of Murcia to the Physically Disabled and / or Organic (FAMDIF / COCEMFE).
The ceremony was also attended by members of the Board, the technicians of this partnership, members of ADFA and family.
Its treasurer, Joaquín Cobarro, affected by reduced mobility, was the first test vehicle, a Fiat Ducato van with a capacity for 9 people and a wheelchair.
