The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure, through the Directorate General of Planning, Architecture and Housing, and the City of Abarán have agreed to establish a line of work that allows to improve access for people at risk of social exclusion occupied housing social rent, dependent on the region.
The Director General of Planning, Architecture and Housing, Nuria Fuentes, reported today the agreement after a meeting with the mayor of Abarán, Jesus Molina, noting that "we want to provide better access service empty homes managed by the Government regional and who are potential rental apartments to be leased to people who, for economic reasons, are in a more vulnerable and can not access under normal market conditions ".
The agreement has three objectives.
On the one hand, it is intended to optimize access to housing through reasonable social rent to families and persons with difficulties in finding accommodation;
on the other, ensure proper use and maintenance thereof to ensure optimal conditions of habitability, and finally, track occupancy housing.
The Director General stressed that out is going to take a performance improvement and rehabilitation of 52 public housing in the neighborhood of San José Artesano the municipality of Abarán, which is currently being drafted and will soon be hiring.
This action is part of a Rehabilitation Plan Public Housing, which will improve 477 homes in nine municipalities (Abarán, Sewer, Archena, Blanca, Ceuta, Cieza, Lorquí, Molina de Segura and Villanueva del Río Segura), with a overall budget of 2.45 million euros, under the Housing Plan 2013-2016.
It aims to rehabilitate a number of buildings of qualified public advocacy, awarded in rented housing, with which it is intended to help improve the quality of life of its occupants, by adapting the buildings, their integration into the urban fabric and the renewal of the image of this group housing.
The renovation of homes consist of the adequacy of the buildings and the execution of maintenance and intervention in their facilities and the private elements and common areas.
They also include the renovation of the interior sewer and water supply, improving accessibility of common spaces, improving energy efficiency in buildings and the replacement of timber and waterproofing.
