The project of the Area of ​​regeneration and urban renewal (ARRU) to be developed in Abarán, will allow 124 families to benefit from grants of up to 15,000 euros to rehabilitate their homes.
The public subsidies, included in the 2017 Housing Plan, represent a global contribution of more than 355,500 euros, with a total cost of 799,000 euros.
The general director of Planning, Architecture and Housing, Laura Sandoval, and the mayor of Abarán, Jesús Molina, met with the neighbors to explain the aid for the development of the actions included in the ARRU, all the procedures that must be followed and the documentation that they have to contribute, as well as the deadlines to obtain the aids, "in order that they solve all their doubts and can receive the subsidies that correspond to them as soon as possible".
Sandoval explained to the neighbors that these aids have a triple objective, "to improve the quality of life of the citizens who inhabit them, to revitalize the urban centers of the localities and to boost employment in the construction sector".
"The aid may finance conservation actions (foundation, structure, facilities, roofs, roofs, facades or other common elements), renovation of facilities, improvement of accessibility to buildings through the installation of elevators, lifting mechanisms, access ramps or similar, and improvement of energy efficiency ", specified the director.
Also subsidized actions in carpentry and windows, installing or replacing heating systems, refrigeration, heating and ventilation production and works to improve the thermal insulation of networks and the installation of equipment that uses renewable energy.
In addition to Abarán, regeneration and urban renewal will be promoted in 12 other municipalities.
In total, 1,653 homes will be rehabilitated and renovated and public spaces will be redeveloped in 13 municipalities, which will involve an investment of more than 15.6 million euros.
