About 60 students attended the course "Women in rural areas" held in the town of 12 to 16 July which discussed issues relating to the status of women in rural areas and their role as an engine of revitalization in rural areas

Also, Julio Bernal stated that "the Women's Institute is devoting efforts to create conditions to enable rural women to continue to grow personally and professionally and for that the Women's Institute has launched projects such as local schools employment for women, with whom he is trying to put some kind of example of actions that are intended to contribute to the consideration of women in rural areas. The director of the summer courses at the University of Murcia, Manuela Lopez, said that the course "Women in rural areas" project is part of the International University of Mar whose action is to take off-campus summer courses.
"This year we have 22 locations and one of them is Abarán" he said.
He also congratulated the course directors for the approach of the program and all the speakers "because they are giving boost to its presence and expertise to all courses."
