School Sports Association Abarán Chess Club organized the III Open Chess Children Abarán Fair, which has, in this issue, increase the number of participants from the previous two.

The tournament, under the direction of Daniel Palazón Marín and Juan Luis Saorin as referee, was attended by 46 players of the Federations of Murcia, Valencia and Castilian-Manchego, from Albacete, Alicante and from different locations in the Region Murcia. Among them was the runner-up in Spain under-14 champion and all regional and sub-14, Alejandro Escudero, as well as regional champions U-12 and U-10, U-10 champion and other international players with ELO national, which gave the tournament a great level, consolidating the prestige it has acquired in the field of child chess.

The good weather made it possible to retrieve the local game, the Plaza Vieja in Abarán, outdoors, fulfilling the initial idea of "sport in the street" that did this tournament and the players wore shirts with them gave the organization, as well as juices and ragweed.

The peace and prosperity of this corner of Abarán, in the old town center, next to the great sportsmanship of the young participants, affected the smooth running of the tournament.

Chaired the awards Councillor for Sports, Federico García Montiel, who congratulated the participants, inviting them to participate next year in the IV Open Chess Abarán Fair.

The vice president of the Chess Federation of the Region of Murcia, José Gómez, and the manager of ECA Abarán AD, José Miguel Yuste, were other attendees at the tournament and awards ceremony.
