Abarán Mayor and President of UCOMUR introduce a new service geared to the promotion and revitalization of the business in the locality under the formula of worker cooperatives, the new office has enabled the building CIMA
Antonio Eugenio Gomez, Mayor Abarán, and Juan Antonio Pedroza, president of UCOMUR (Union of Worker Cooperatives in the Region of Murcia) had this morning a new service aimed at the creation of worker cooperatives and promoting self-employment that is available to citizens in the municipality.
Gomez stressed that "the establishment of this office shows the concern of the City of Abarán to work against unemployment."
"This initiative is based on two lines of work whose aim is the creation of new cooperatives and fostering entrepreneurship in our youth," said local mayor.
This information office, located in the Integrated Multi-Function Center (CIMA), will serve the public every Thursday morning, with the possibility of extending hours to cover all the expectations that emerge, the president stressed UCOMUR.
Juan Antonio Pedroza explained that this service which is operated in collaboration with the City of Abarán, through the Department of Local Development, Employment and Youth, is designed to promote, guide and inform all people who want to find work, promoting the creation of worker cooperatives.
"The cooperative approach is working well and creating jobs in the Region of Murcia where in the first quarter of 2010 the establishment of cooperative enterprise has grown by 82% over the previous year," he said.
Pedroza said that since UCOMUR is to extend this service information to create the job itself and report on aid for job creation: "When you are creating a company many fears arise, raising questions of guy who will help me , how are we going to raise, etc., and this orientation is that we shall pay from the Union of Cooperatives for free, "he said.
"The search for self-employment that makes us to discover our own place in the labor market, create these services and meet the needs in municipalities and surely there can not find the solution in a gainful employment," he added .
"So that you can create your own business we will arrange aid, grants and then follow the entire process for the company to operate and assist in any weakness that the company present," he said.
UCOMUR President also said that besides the possibility of future posed by the cooperative company, will conduct a line based on the training courses themselves and through the Employment and Training Service (SEF).

Antonio Eugenio Gomez noted the possibility of creating cooperative businesses to band together to offer comprehensive plumbing work or carpentry, as well as other areas.
The event was also attended by Councillor Local Development, Employment, Youth and Education Councillor Abarán, José Luis Tornero Carpena, as well as other members of the Municipal Corporation.
Recognition of professional competence
UCOMUR President reported that since the Ministry of Education, through the Directorate General for Vocational Training is to empower people who have no qualifications in those sectors that have been gaining experience as early childhood education, geriatric care to people dependent on social institutions and social and health care to people at home.
"The Department will have 150 seats that can hold any person simply by showing that this activity has worked to focus its activity in any enterprise," he said.
