The Socialist candidate for president of the autonomous region, Begoña García Retegui has returned to Abarán.
Just two weeks ago Retegui visited this town to thank the great support collected during the primaries, after receiving 90% of the votes of the members of Abarán.
During that visit, the Socialist candidate toured the premises of a fruit and a water treatment plant and its workers and chatted with workers, meeting with neighborhood associations to share their concerns and attended a ceremony with members of the municipality.
On that occasion, Begoña García Retegui pledged to return to town to meet with groups of women, a promise that the candidate has fulfilled today.
This morning, visited Abarán Retegui in its "45 municipalities, 45 days to reach everyone."
Almost thirty women of the county have shared a breakfast with the candidate and have expressed their unhappiness at the lack of quality social policies to respond to the needs of citizens and their concern about delays in receiving aid Dependency Act by the Regional Administration.
"Complaints regarding the lack of social services, delays in aid and general slowness of the proceedings of the regional administration are to be recurring themes in each of my visits," said the candidate.
Abarán women have also moved to the Socialist candidate complaints about the lack of an agricultural policy that responds to the needs of farm workers and the lack of commitment to the promotion of local products of the Regional Government.
In addition, these women also complain of high unemployment that exists in the region and more specifically in their town, Abarán.
The Socialist candidate has pledged to take account of these complaints and claims at the time of drafting the manifesto to be presented to the forthcoming presidential elections in the Autonomous Community.
