The Local Executive Committee of New Generations of Abarán, meeting on November 9, 2010, unanimously decided that organization's accession to the Civic Platform Youth "Youth in defense of the river Segura."

This platform was founded after the PGE inclusion in a heading in the casing of a part of the flow of the Tajo-Segura (which is intended to supply drinking water) that currently runs along the river between the reservoir Segura Cenajo and Weir's eyes, with the serious harm involved for the river, the natural ecosystem and the economic and cultural development of the region.

Young People's Party Abarán share the purpose of this youth platform and platform "in defense of the Segura, which encompasses the municipalities of Vega Alta, Cieza, Abarán and White.

We also express our wish that all young people feel Abarán integrated into this initiative, which we will begin discussions with all youth associations in the municipality to adhere to the youth platform.
