The socio-cultural Association Ricote Valley will present its annual awards on 17 December in a ceremony to be held in the Teatro Cervantes at 21.30.
Ricote Valley Awards 2010 will recognize, in its fourth edition, career and dedication to the political life of María San Gil, a former president of the Popular Party in Euskadi and collaborator of FAES (Foundation for Analysis and Social Studies) chaired by José María Aznar.
Among the winners, two associations of Abarán, OJE youth organization, which bears the "Initiative Award" and the Mazikandú Pipe Band, who will receive the "Award of Participation."
Amanda Cano abaranera athlete will be awarded the "Award of Merit in Sports" while "Solidarity Prize" has been awarded this year in the "Fundación Diagrama" Psychosocial Intervention entity for the "development of centers, programs and research aimed at prevention, treatment and integration of all those groups who are in difficulty or social risk, with special emphasis on children, family, youth and women, including those for dependent persons "(www.fundaciondiagrama.es).
The Association also recognizes the Ricote Valley dissemination of culture held for years by the Brotherhood of St. Sebastian, Ricote, who will receive the "Cultural Prize" for his 500th Anniversary of patronage.
