On Saturday June 4th closed the XXVI Individual Chess Championship Absolute regional, contested by eight rounds Swiss system which has been held in the Barrio San José Artisan Abarán since 2 April when the Fide Master Carlos Tudela Carlini, CA Totana, proclaimed regional chess champion brilliant, unbeaten with 6 wins and two draws, confirming its status as favorite for the title for being the number one initial ranking of the championship.
Felipe Alcaraz, CA Willows, also with 7 points and Daniel Alarcón, CA Monteagudo, with 6.5 points, completed the podium.
The three each received their respective trophies and cash prizes at the closing ceremony held at the local game to finish the last round and attended by the Councillor for Sports, Federico García Montiel, the elected mayor of Abarán, Jesus Molina Izquierdo, the headman Arques Antonio Ortega, the restaurant manager Yelo Pericón Jesus and the president of the Farm, Antonio Gallego, and the tournament director, José Gómez, and other local media personalities and regional chess.
