The regional government has given approval for two grants for a total amount of 211,972 euros to the municipalities of Abarán and Lorca for the provision of services in early care centers in both locations.
For this, the Consistory of Lorca receive 193,253 euros and Abarán, 18,719 euros.
The goal of early intervention programs is that children with developmental disorders or at risk of suffering receive assistance to help enhance their personal autonomy and their capacity for development and welfare.
Furthermore, it enables the integration of children into their family and social perspective for prevention and care.
Overall, in 2011, 2,930 children were served in the region.
These payments are in addition to those recently approved by the Governing Council for a further 11 councils and a consortium of social services in the region to maintain their early childhood intervention centers.
Specifically, these municipalities Sewer, Murcia, Alhama de Murcia, Fortuna, Yecla, Totana, Cotillas Towers (48,600), Molina de Segura, Eagles, White and Cieza and Commonwealth of Social Services Mula River.
