The V Open Chess Child Abarán Fair met on September 15 in the city park to 48 players of great projection of the Region of Murcia, Castilla la Mancha and Qty.

In this tournament highlighted the magnificent performance of the U-12 regional champion Sergio Escudero Manzano, Chess Club House Murcia, whose success in the last round against the winner of the previous edition earned him the title of champion of the tournament.
The runners-up Spain U-14 Beatriz Garcia Porlán, CA Lorca, tied on points with Escudero, signing and a great performance and finally occupying second place due to a slight difference in the Bucholz.
Another of the most outstanding performances of the day was that of Sergio Calle De Fuentes, the Virgin of Guadalupe CA, who got a deserved third place after beating a rival rock in the last round.
Among the participants was the champion of Spain Under-10 M ª del Pilar Lopez Garcia, CTO virtually newcomer.

The town was represented by players from CA Skull's Hoya del Campo and club tournament organizer-Abarán ECA-, thereby achieving greater participation than in previous editions and competition level higher, with an improvement in the classification with respect to previous year.
Thus, the first qualifier, Steven Sanchez Gomez, was ranked 20 °, the second qualifier, José Antonio Ortega Soler, was ranked 22nd and the third qualifier, Oscar Moreno Saorín, was ranked 24th.

The awards ceremony was attended by councilor Abarán City Council staff Jesus Tornero, who was accompanied by the President of the Chess Federation of the Region of Murcia Antonio Gallego and the president of the Chess Club School Abarán Pepe Gomez.
