The Governing Council has given the green light for aid to municipalities in Abarán, Blanca and Las Torres de Cotillas to improve street cleaning, waste selective collection and promotion of public awareness on environmental protection atmosphere.

To do this, in order to reduce waste generation, is adopting a sweeper to local street cleaning services in these municipalities.

The total amount of the grant is EUR 420,000, ie 140,000 euros per session.

The aid is financed by 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and 20 percent equity, provided by the Ministry of the Presidency.
