The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities invested 35,997 euros this summer in remodeling and improvement of the College of Education and Primary Apostle Santiago de la Hoya Field Abarán.
Specifically, in this public school exterior carpentry works that improve the thermal insulation and the living conditions of the center was replaced and reduces energy consumption.
This action is passed on to the course in the Secondary School Abarán villa where they were carried out work to waterproof the roof and install a new heating unit, for a total amount of 20,705 euros.
The general director of Educational Institutions, María Dolores Valcárcel, visited this morning the first center, which proved the result of improvements that are part of the 39 works made this summer by the Department in public schools in 19 municipalities.
"The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities this summer has invested a total of 748,936 euros in improvement work and renovation of schools, representing an increase of 30 percent compared to the previous year's investment. Performances guaranteeing to provide pupils with excellent facilities to develop their studies within the initiative '+ Educational Quality + School Success, "said Maria Dolores Valcárcel.
Investment in Abarán
A total investment of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities in the town of Abarán since 2006 amounts to 1,407,072 euros.
Besides the works already mentioned, during the year 2014 were carried out refurbishment work of low voltage electrical installation in Hall C of the IES Abarán Villa this summer and improvements were made to the electrical system of the center.
53,552 euros were also invested in the construction of an emergency staircase in the St. Paul public school.
Abarán Township has five schools and Primary Education of a public nature, a concerted and Secondary School where they study a total of 1,930 students.
