The Governing Council has authorized the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, through the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS), to make an investment of 235,000 euros to have 80 seats in the home help service Abarán and Sewer .

Of the total amount referred to in the System for Autonomy and Care for dependency, 165,000 euros were allocated 50 seats in the town of Abarán and 70,000 euros for 30 seats in Alcantarila.

The aim of this service is to provide better care for dependent older people, who need special support for activities of daily life and increase their autonomy.

Thus, actions related to personal care and own home or household level activities are included.

The regional government intended this year more than 1.6 million euros to continue to offer the home help service to those who request and fulfill the requirements.
