For the first time Abarán City Council and the University of Murcia (UMU) have signed an agreement for the location of a permanent headquarters in the town of Sea International University aims to contribute to academic development and will be located at the Cultural Center.

José Luis Tornero, in presenting the "International Course III: Psychology and Justice" to be held in Abarán from 15 to 19 September.
These courses and forums for exchange of information favoring the University of the Autonomous Region of Murcia and the other communities and universities abroad as well as to all persons interested in continuing their education.
"Abarán will benefit the quality and innovation and scientific and cultural offer of the university, an offer which is expected to expand for future issues," noted Mayor Abarán, D.

For its part, the Vice Chancellor of University Extension of the UMU, D.
Guillermo Francisco Díaz Baños, expressed his appreciation to the City Council because the municipality Abarán joins the formative of the UMU.
"The aim is to make the courses accessible to all inhabitants of the region, not just college students, the University of Murcia aims to contribute to the formation of citizens of the municipality of Abarán and today reflects the effort and work of many people to the consolidation of the training offer, "said Diaz Baños in his speech.
Eduardo Osuna, Director of the Universidad del Mar, noted that "Abarán will become a reference point with the Third National Course on Psychology and Justice, the course aims to deepen knowledge on topics related to psychology and justice and therein address aspects related to gender violence, the psychological profile in the national prison system, with high-profile speakers in the police, journalists and forensic medicine "Osuna noted.
