Abarán City Council has received a grant of € 16,674 through an agreement signed between the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration through the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia, for the provision of services and programs for equal opportunities and assistance to victims of gender violence.
The programs to be carried out fall into three areas:
1 .- Training Programs.
Following the line of action of the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia, this program can bring together three aspects such as gender training, equal opportunities, promoting training programs for women to promote their full social participation and eliminate barriers impede their access to different levels and promote training activities specifically designed to prevent and detect violence, to raise awareness of this problem and train various professional profiles.
2 .- Operating Programs Service Center Individual and Group for Women Victims of Violence.
Intended to finance certain operating expenses of Specialized Care Centers for women victims of violence whose purpose is to provide comprehensive and continuing the problem.
3 .- Program services and activities on equal opportunities.
Activities for the development of equality.
Abarán City Council help fund these programs with the provision of a minimum of 20% of the total cost of all activities and services.
