The Department of Agriculture Abarán City Council reminded citizens that the templates for the collection of signatures to prevent the piping of the river Segura will be removed from stores and shops in the coming days so that those interested should sign it as soon as possible .
Next week, the council of Agriculture, Federico García Montiel, and members of the Platform in Defence of the River Segura, will meet with Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs.
The campaign to collect signatures is performed with the aim of asking the Ministry of Environment to stop the project of piping of the Segura river flows and to consider options to ensure the quality of water without damaging the natural values of our river.
The defense platform Segura river formed by the municipalities of Cieza, White Abarán, agricultural and environmental groups seeking the support of neighbors in the region to sensitize ministry officials about the seriousness of this action.
