The Autonomous Community of Murcia, through the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration, the City Council has awarded a grant of 33,215.95 Abarán euros for the provision of care program services to families in special situations .
The Family Care Program in Special Situations was launched by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, from 2001 as part of the measures outlined in the Comprehensive Plan for Family Support (2001 - 2004), prepared by the Ministry.
This program includes several initiatives aimed at promoting and developing specific intervention projects with families who have several problems that compromise the proper development of its members, addressing various situations of need.
The implementation of that program has been conducted since 2001 through an agreement between the Autonomous Community of Murcia, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the Ministry responsible for social affairs.
These specific projects were developed through the technical support of Family Service and thanks to the techniques and instruments of labor of that Ministry and have been adjusted to the specific needs of the target population since 2001.
Abarán City Council provides these services through the Department of Family and Children and the team located at the Center for Social Participation Melgarejo Luis Miguel Molina.
Ongoing projects:
.- A program aimed at family education and care for disadvantaged families at risk and single-parent families.
.- Guidance and / or Family Mediation and Family Meeting Points
.- Support for families where domestic violence occurs.

Cieza Township received a grant of EUR 13,223.16 and the Valley of Ricote, 36,060.72 euros.
