International Tourism Fair, FITUR, which this year celebrates its twenty-ninth edition has distinguished among all the exhibitors, the booth of the Region of Murcia as one of the three most attractive in the category of "Autonomous Communities and Organizations."
Abarán stand was part of the Region of Murcia, which won first prize for best institutional stand FITUR, and represented the Maya Sun Temple.
Exhibitors Ricote Valley provided information of the seven municipalities in the region that form, with a section for the most prominent representative of Abarán: cultural environment, the old town, the environment and tourist visits that can be performed in locality.
Promotional materials have included pictures of the town, supported by graphic and informative leaflets, calendars and more.
About fifty people enjoyed a trip organized by the Department of Tourism Abarán City Council has offered the opportunity to visit the Fair and other parts of the capital Madrid.
On Thursday 29 January, the mayor of Abarán, Antonio Eugenio Gomez and Councillor for Tourism, José G.
Cano Montoro, attending on behalf FITUR Abarán Township and with the aim of promoting environmental and geographical environment of the same.
That same day marked the Day of the Region of Murcia at the fair.
