The Department of Environment has your participation to the book project, an initiative to collect books and school supplies that will be reused by people who speak Spanish in schools and social centers in developing countries.
The aim is to promote education, enhance our social and human values and share our culture while we take care of the environment.
Collaborate with the Project Book in the selection of material on Tuesday March 10th at 5:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center Plaza.
About Book Project
Abarán City Council, through the Department of Environment, joined a campaign by the Directorate General of Planning, Evaluation and Environmental Control from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water in the Region of Murcia to contribute to growth and educational progress developing Spanish-speaking.
The project's main objective is to contribute through international cooperation, growth and progress of member countries by promoting sustainable development through the reuse of materials and infrastructure Ecoparks Network of Murcia.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
1 .- Dar environmental value converting waste into a reusable product:

Save materials extracted from nature
.
Avoid polluting rivers and oceans, landfills and death of living beings
.
Respect the natural growth of the tree avoiding the massive logging and deforestation
.
Make sustainable consumption of resources in the Region of Murcia
.
Avoid serious environmental problems
2 .- To give a human value to the action of supplying materials to be used by people who otherwise would not have access to culture.
Provision of books and educational materials for Spanish speaking depressed areas in the Americas lack of financial resources for the training of future generations.
What can be deposited in these containers?
Stories, books, school materials, encyclopedias, dictionaries, collections of periodicals, books do not need.
How can we continue to work?
Become a volunteer for the selection of material to be sent to Spanish-speaking countries to promote education.
