The Department of Environment is grateful to the citizens of the municipality

The Department of Environment has selected the campaign material Book Project, an initiative to collect books and school material whose main objective is to promote education, enhance our social and human values and share our culture while we take care of the environment .

The selected material, according to the technical environment, Minerva Aviles, a total of approximately 1.200kg (about 42 boxes).

<<This material has been divided by theme or educational materials such as primary, secondary, college or university, children's literature or stories, general literature (novels, plays), dictionaries, books on sexuality, education didactics and teaching guides, arts plastic or music, among others, and the selection of material meets current criteria for content, particularly in educational materials, or deterioration of the book>>.

For his part, Councillor for the Environment, José Gabriel Cano Montoro, expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of the citizens of the municipality in this campaign, as well as educational institutions: <<Thanks to the excellent participation and involvement of all abaraneros as well as schools in the area, get care for the environment, while contributing to the promotion of education in other countries>>.

<<An initiative undertaken by this council in collaboration with the Directorate General of Environmental Quality and the Ministry of Industry and Environment, whose main goal is to raise awareness of the need for the reuse of materials that helps to cause less pollution. In addition - Councilman continues, we help others to have greater access to education, promoting the growth and progress of other countries and promoting sustainable development>> says Cano Montoro.

The material collection campaign began in late October in the municipality to contribute to growth and educational advancement of developing countries of Hispanic speech.
