The Department of Tourism of the City of Abarán is one of the sponsors of the Land League contest organized by Dressage Riding Club The Perete, which is also the Department of Sports City of Abarán.
Dressage is an Olympic sport in which a binomial consisting of a horse and rider / rider performs a series of exercises on a rectangular and these exercises are scored by judges.
This is one of the few Olympic sports where men and women compete on the same test.
The Equestrian Club is located in the Perete the Las Cañaícas-Barranco Molax (next to Hotel-Restaurant Mesón del Moro) and is conducting competitions since 2006.
In this fourth competition, involving about 20 riders.
The categories are juvenile (under 12 years), infant, child and adult riders.
Importantly, the regional league champions in the 2008 season in the categories juvenile, child and youth club were students.
In addition, the Riding Club will inaugurate the Perete a riding club aimed at younger on 28 March and will be called Pony Club.
The main objective of the Pony Club is to bring the world of horses and riding to the youngest, since for them the management and the relationship with a pony is much easier than with a horse.
Children can register from 4 years.
During this open house is offered to parents and children the chance to meet club projects and smaller ones can take a free ride a pony or horse.
The Open Day will be March 28 from 12.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 18.00.
