On Monday May 11 awards were decided Photo Contest II IES Villa de Abarán directed to all county youth under age 20 and whose purpose is to reward originality and quality of the photographic work of young artists in different modalities of color, black and white, paper or CD-ROM.
The theme chosen, as in the first edition, has been the environment of the municipality and the IES Villa de Abarán.
Gabriel Enrique Gómez González won the first prize of 150 euros and a diploma, Puche Patricia Molina got the second prize of 100 euros and a diploma, and third prize went to the work of Patricia Puche Ortega, worth 50 euros and a diploma.
Of the 180 photographs presented in a total of 43 students, the jury decided to award five runners for the work of Ferrer María Moreno, Patricia Puche Ortega, Enrique Sánchez Turpin, Ciara and Tamara García Moreno Sánchez Carrillo.
This time the jury was composed of Ms. Maria Martinez, winner of the I Photography Competition Abarán IES Villa de Don Jesús de la Cruz Montiel, "Piti", renowned professional photographers and D.
Joseph Bermudez, a professor of Art and Head of the subject.
The competition has enjoyed the cooperation of the Youth Department of the Hon.
Abarán City Council.
