The President of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, accompanied by the Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, held this morning a meeting with the mayor of Abarán, Antonio Eugenio Gomez, at the Palais des San Esteban in the city to discuss projects for the municipality.
Among the proposals was the possibility of signing agreements with the Institute for accommodation that will result in job creation and the promotion of projects approved by the autonomous region such as the installation of water supply networks in the districts.
The current economic situation of local administrations, the list of projects already completed, the actions are being implemented now and others will be completed during 2009 and throughout the term, were other issues discussed at the meeting.
Employment and Housing Projects
The boost in employment and the possibility of launching a series of agreements with the Institute of Housing to build homes on land classified as residential area have been other issues involved.
"Boosting employment through the SEF (Employment and Training Service), through conventions and workshops and the possibility of establishing agreements with the Institute of Housing to give a boost to the Youth Housing and build subsidized housing areas while it promotes job creation are priorities for action in the town, "said Antonio Eugenio Gómez.
