The Councillor for Local Development, Employment and Youth, José Luis Tornero, reported in a press conference on grants submitted, developments in the field of youth and measures to promote employment in the municipality and youth training.
The Councillor for Local Development, Employment and Youth, José Luis Tornero Carpena, gave a press conference to inform citizens on the initiatives taken by the City Council Abarán through the Department of Local Development and Employment, at the last Board Government to encourage and promote employment among the unemployed in the municipality.
These initiatives are part of the Order of grants from the Employment and Training Service called "Local Public Employment and Institutional" whose purpose is:
The acquisition of work experience and improve the employability of the unemployed.
The promotion of activity in those sectors of the local area in which new needs are identified.
The hiring of unemployed workers to perform work or services of social interest and in collaboration with the municipalities.
In this sense, have asked the Employment and Training Service of the following grants:
- "Packaging and Assessment of Buildings and Public Spaces", with an approximate value of EUR 130,009.87, which was requested at 6 masons, 2 painters and 4 outfielders.
- Prevention of situations of dependency and personal empowerment "in an amount of approximately EUR 93,945.49, which has sought to 1 Social Worker, 7 home help assistants and 1 Therapist.
- "Educational Intervention on Children and Youth Area", whose amount is approximately 54,012.52 euros, which has applied to 4 Educators.
- "Youth Service Project Social and Cultural Promotion" Get Involved ", worth close to EUR 53,904.37, which has requested 1 psychologist, 1 and 4 Technical Computer Monitors Leisure and Education.
The councilman pointed out that "also have been requested, like last year, various reports to promote employment among university graduates in our municipality."
"Also," added "this year has asked for a grant for a technical in Tourism, a Tourist Guide, a Technical Environmental, a Library Technician and a Socio-Technical Integration."
Notable among the grants submitted a draft employment workshop called "ANDARRAIX" that will employ 22 unemployed in the municipality during a year in the form of socio-cultural AND CHILD CARE, amounting to 522,965.39 euros.
"In short, these grants can provide jobs in the coming months to 60 unemployed, amounting to an approximate amount of 920,000 euros," said José Luis Tornero.
In relation to District Councils for Employment, has been granted to the City of Abarán a grant of 307,000 euros that will employ 74 unemployed agricultural workers for three months divided into three phases:
The first phase will begin on 1 August and 31 October where it will employ 25 people.
The second phase will begin on November 1 to January 31 which also hired 25 people.
The third and final phase will begin on December 1, 2009 and end on April 28 where they will hire 24 people
"Job offers will be sent to the Employment Service and Training, more specifically the Cieza INEM, for processing 20 days before the start of each phase," he noted Councilman Employment.
The work to be undertaken will consist of clearing weeds and littering all over the surrounding, natural scenery, near the village and hamlets.
"Before concluding this part of employment means that from today and thank the Government of the Region, the unemployed who have exhausted unemployment benefits can apply for the subsidy to a payment of 420 euros a month," explained Turner Carpena.

Universidad Internacional del Mar Course
From 13 to 17 July we will have again with the Second Edition of the International University courses of the Sea, this year has scheduled a course entitled "Reservoir employment in rural areas" through which we intend to publicize the potential of rural areas in the Region of Murcia, explore possibilities for job creation in rural areas, analyze methods of intervention in rural development and study the Regional Rural Development Programme and Local Plans, and to carry out project development in the new EAFRD programming.

Youth Activities

• Workshops on animation techniques and resources in their free time.
D'Tour Program
Another novelty is that the City Council has signed up Abarán D'tour program of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia.
This program is promoted to support youth music groups in the municipality and encourage the development of music among young people with the aim of promoting groups that start in the world of music through live performances.
Walking Path
José Luis Tornero explained that "as usual, from the Youth Council has scheduled a new activity aimed at young people walking and the general public."
