The next June 5th marks the World Environment Day is considered one of the main vehicles used by the United Nations to promote global awareness of our environment.
Climate change, combating soil erosion, improved water cycle, maintenance of biodiversity and socio-economic development of rural areas are some of the biggest challenges in the region of Murcia on the road to sustainable development .

Coinciding with the International Year of Astronomy (2009) Abarán City Council, through the departments of Tourism and Environment, has organized an activity entitled Planetary Traveler, a mobile planetarium which didactic function is to teach the universe.
This activity is suitable for all audiences.
The sessions on vocabulary and content tailored to the level of the students or the people attending, in the case of adults.
The Planetarium features allow us to represent on its inner surface all the stars visible to the naked eye planets, the moon, the Milky Way, the apparent motions of the stars and the sky any time of year, anywhere.
The 3D virtual tour to view the celestial motion in the Sun-Earth-Moon, the Zodiac, recognize constellations with the help of drawings, the solar system, the sky For other places on Earth, among other things.
It also shows the importance that astronomy has on navigation, the North Star, the measure of latitude, and we explain the evolution of stars.
The planetarium is 5.5 meters in diameter and over 3 meters tall.
It consists of an inflatable balloon made with fireproof materials.
A powerful ventilation system allows a continuous change of air inside the facility.
Designed by computer projectors provide the ability to see thousands of stars, some of them in color.
Attendees can enjoy multimedia projections in which space travel seem almost real.
