Councilman IU + Abarán Los Verdes, Pablo Javier Rodríguez, today filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office requesting an investigation into alleged irregular procurement of three people, one sister of a mayor of PP, by the municipality of that locality.
Rodriguez, accompanied by the regional coordinator of IU, José Antonio Pujante, said that the municipality has hired the collection service with a private company they worked for three people, and that after a few years, decided to do without assistance and sign an agreement with the Regional Revenue Agency.
He added that the government team then tried to hire by subrogation to such employees to work at City Hall, to which IU + Greens opposed after proposing that hiciese recruitment through to the municipal collection service.
He noted that the council held an extraordinary plenary session to gain the support of the opposition, but IU + Greens requested that the vote be absent councilors Celebrations and Planning, Isabel Carrasco and José Gómez, being sister and cousin of one of the workers.
Rodriguez explained that by not having the votes of the two mayors, the government team, the PP lost its absolute majority and therefore not approved the hiring of workers, although a few days later, and by Board Local Government, were employed indefinitely as council staff.
For his part, José Antonio Pujante, said that these acts may constitute a crime of trespass, because "it has violated the principle of competition for recruitment in public administration."
