The autonomous region will subsidize a total of five projects based on the equipment at two facilities and the development of social activities in the municipality of Abarán.
This was stated this morning the council of Social Welfare, Maria del Carmen Turner, in a press conference to inform citizens about the actions that the City Council Abarán will take place through this Department.
Responsible for the area of Social Welfare has stated that the City of Abarán presented a series of projects to the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration, of which the Autonomous Community of Murcia will subsidize a total of five, two manning equipment and three based on social activities.
Facilities at two sites

Occupational Center La Noria enjoy new equipment, more complete, a project established with the aim of improving the quality of services of this center that serves people with disabilities.

The new Early Childhood Center, located behind the offices of Social Services, and already in operation, provides specialized care by providing treatment for children 0 to 6 years showed abnormal development.
The new facilities will allow for all necessary activities, overcoming the shortcomings of the previous center.

Social action projects

M ª Carmen Turner explained that to avoid duplication in this series of services has been the project at three Caritas parish and Red Cross in the town, "they do an outstanding job distributing food among the population," stressed the mayor .
Turner stressed that the second objective of the project "social Menu" is to promote small businesses, "to provide the vouchers given to the user a list of shops where you can go for these purchases," he stated.
Prevention Program Unit and Promotion of Personal Autonomy
Regardless of the projects of the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Maria Carmen Turner reported that the SEF (Department of Employment and Training) has awarded the City of Abarán, for the third consecutive year, the Prevention Program of the Unit and Promotion of Personal Autonomy, a program that combines the work of two councils: Local Development and Social Welfare.
This program is dedicated to the largest and through it develop support programs (home, moving to an assistant, or outside it, to carry out steps or procedures, shopping or strolling, for example ) and recreation and leisure.
These activities will begin in November and the Department will provide information relating to it through the distribution of leaflets in all the homes.
