The Department of Social Welfare and Local Development in train the Prevention Services Unit Situations and Social Self-Promotion for the elderly and / or disabled.
The objective of this program is to provide mechanisms to facilitate and enhance their social, meet their health needs by improving prevention of falls, exercise, and provide a help desk staff to avoid situations of dependency and generate alternative leisure.
The activities may be performed individually, these will be support and assistance, and collective - lectures and workshops.
Among the latter include art therapy workshops, music therapy, Memory, Yoga, Photography, Radio, Dance, Beauty, Entertainment and Leisure and lectures entitled "Resources in my community," "Prevention and Home Safety," "Healthy Eating" , "Ethical consumption", "First Aid", "Osteoporosis" and "postural ergonomics."
"From City Hall, we aim to improve the personal and social skills of the elderly and / or disabled people and ask for the cooperation and involvement of all to improve and move forward," said the councilman of Social Welfare, M ª Carmen Tornero.
