The City of Abarán pays tribute to the Spanish Constitution in its 31 th anniversary, a ceremony held today at the Paseo de la Ermita and counted with the participation of associations and students from schools in the locality and where reviewed some items contained in the Constitution.
Abarán Mayor, Antonio Eugenio Gomez, mentioned in his speech to the democratic municipal elections held for the first time in 1979.
"We celebrate the anniversary of the Spanish Constitution of an act in which the participation of all citizens is intended to be a true reflection of the functioning of the democratic state," said Mayor Abarán.
"Also in 2009 we celebrate 30 years of democratic elections since 1979 took place in two elections: the first general elections under the aegis of the Constitution and the first municipal elections were a step forward in consolidating democracy, freedom and rights of citizens, "said Gomez.
Abarán Mayor joined the tribute of the Constitution read with Article 44:
The public authorities shall promote and watch over access to culture, to which all are entitled.
The public authorities shall promote science and scientific and technical research in the public interest.
"Let this meeting also to enjoy the culture of our people, with the sample of Christmas cakes and the opening of Bethlehem Christmas City," said Antonio Eugenio Gómez, inviting attendees to enjoy all the events that took place this morning at the Ermita de los Santos Medical.
