The socialist grouping Abarán held on Monday 28 December, the first memorial to mark the centenary of PSRM-PSOE.
This event will take place at the Cervantes Theater in this town at 20 hours.
The secretary general of the Socialist group Abarán, Antonio Francisco Gómez, stressed the importance of this first act "that is addressed to the Socialists who were, are and will be."
The event will intervene Antonio Martínez Ovejero, Murcia senator between 1979-1982 and researcher of Historical Memory.
Also, Carlos Collado Mena, president of the Autonomous Region in the years 1984-1993, Antonio Francisco Gómez, secretary general of the group Abarán and mayor of this town in the years 2003-2007 and Saura Pedro García, secretary general of PSRM and regional deputy.
Francisco Antonio Gomez noted that this event will be special recognition of Jesus Carrasco Martinez Abarán only mayor who was in the twentieth century and the first deputy mayor, Jesus Pascual Cano, the second deputy mayor, Eduardo Gomez Gomez his third deputy mayor, Adrian Garcia Molina and the rest of council for "being an example of fighting for democracy and freedom."

First socialist committees
May the next 100 years will be founded the first Socialist Committees in Murcia and Cartagena.
For this reason, the PSRM-PSOE is organizing a series of commemorative events, such as that will take place next Monday, to celebrate this milestone and pay tribute to both seasoned militants.
The commemorative events will be going for several months between spring and autumn of 2010.
By 7 May next year is scheduled to hold a main event, which will involve relevant members of both PSOE and outside the Region.
The organization of these events is provided by a Centennial Commission, which are part of the secretaries of Education, Ideas and Programs, and Communication of the Regional Executive Committee PSRM-PSOE, and other party members.
In addition to acts such as next Monday, the Commission plans to develop a book to raise awareness of the major achievements which have had the character of the Socialist Party of Murcia.
The various groups will host exhibitions with images, texts, documents and articles, covering the activities of the Socialist party members in recent years.
These local exhibitions will be complemented with a regional exhibition that brings together testimonies, stories, performances and images of the socialists in this period.
The exhibitions will take place between spring and autumn of 2010.
